Rice Paper Scissors was created in 2011 by Valerie Luu and Katie Kwan.
Inspired by the sidewalk dining and street food they experienced in Vietnam, Kwan and Luu wanted to recreate the experience here in San Francisco — complete with little red stools, Cambodian pop music, and a rotating menu of regional Vietnamese dishes combined with Californian sensibilities.
What’s next: We’re in the process of opening our first brick-and-mortar restaurant.
