JOB DESCRIPTION

The job is roughly 30-40 hours per week. Our schedule is Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm, as we cater mostly office lunches. However there are some days where there will be earlier breakfast or later dinner orders. Some flexibility is required. Occasionally there are weekend orders.


COMPENSATION

Pay is dependent on experience. Compensation starts at $20/hour and includes overtime, paid sick leave and health benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-production

  • Review and process catering orders for the week

  • Communicate with kitchen staff regarding catering orders

  • Manage inventory of catering equipment, packaging and serving ware

  • Print out catering labels and menus

  • Coordinate catering deliveries and pick-ups

  • Schedule delivery drivers along with logistics and routes

Catering

  • Assist the kitchen in making sure the order goes out on time

  • Load out catering order and associated serving ware

  • Assist delivery drivers in picking up the correct order

  • Communicate with catering clients during pre-production and on-site

  • Deliver catering orders, set up and breakdown - onsite service as needed

  • Follow food safety procedures

  • Making sure the food goes out looking good and that special dietary needs are fulfilled

Other responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with fellow team members, vendors and commissary kitchen tenants to ensure a healthy and productive work environment

  • Light bookkeeping

  • Other projects as needed

Required skills

  • Minimum 2 years in the food industry

  • Strong attention to detail, as well as written and oral communication skills

  • Must be able to use Google Drive and be computer literate

  • Must have a ServSafe Manager’s Certificate (or obtain one)

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Timeliness and punctuality; ability to multi-task and work calmly under high pressure

  • Self motivated, can manage their own work flow and prioritize projects

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

  • Must be able to work on your feet eight hours a day

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Nonessential Skills

  • Kitchen experience is a plus
