The job is roughly 30-40 hours per week. Our schedule is Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm, as we cater mostly office lunches. However there are some days where there will be earlier breakfast or later dinner orders. Some flexibility is required. Occasionally there are weekend orders.
Pay is dependent on experience. Starting pay is $21/hour. We offer overtime, paid sick leave and health benefits.

Review weekly spreadsheet with Catering Manager. Review staffing, catering execution and timing.
Strategize food production
Calculate, order, receive, organize, and maintain all food inventory (meat, produce, pantry and specialty items)
Communicate to Catering Manager any catering packaging needs
Food prep management
Manage all aspects of food prep, including maintaining inventory, upholding food safety procedures and quality
Build prep lists for each day
Team leadership and management
Manage prep cook and dishwasher
Plan and send out staffing schedule
Ensure that all breaks and lunch breaks are taken as scheduled
Make any changes to staffing as needed
Oversee all catering to ensure timely execution
Maintain catering timeline
Kitchen safety and cleanliness
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Adhere to food sanitation standards
Make sure that all staff, sweep and sanitize all surfaces
Cool all product and stock appropriately. Date and label all product.
Build and maintain relationships with fellow team members, vendors, and commissary kitchen tenants to ensure a healthy and productive work environment
Ensure that family meal is cooked at least three times a week
Minimum 3 years in the food industry; 1 year management
Strong time management skills
Must be accustomed to scaling recipes
Strong attention to detail, as well as written and oral communication skills
Must be able to use Google Drive and be computer literate
Must have a ServSafe Manager’s Certificate (or obtain one)
Strong interpersonal skills
Timeliness and punctuality; ability to multi-task and work calmly under high pressure
Self motivated, can manage their own work flow and prioritize projects
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
Must be able to work on your feet eight hours a day
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Spanish is a plus
